Acer palmatum
Acer palmatum.
In nature, it grows in Japan, Korea, Eastern and Central China. It grows slowly, is demanding of soil and moisture (but does not tolerate its excess), suffers from dry air, and is thermophilic. Most sources indicate 5-9 growing zones. In more northern regions, it can be used with light cover. In terms of brightness and elegance of leaves in spring and autumn, it can successfully compete with the most exquisite flowers. It is good for group and single plantings in protected corners of squares and parks, near paths. In cultivation since 1820.
